Have you all got your sparkly new 2019 diaries yet? Grab a pen and get these dates in, as am delighted to confirm our next group theatre trips. From our chats on what we all fancied seeing next, I have secured tickets for the following shows - how exciting!

When - Wednesday 24th July 2019 (really popular - 4th date I tried to get tickets for)

The musical is based on the biblical tale of Joseph, son of Jacob, who is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers after he receives the gift of a splendid coat from his father. The story began as a concept album in 1969 before receiving its professional debut at the Edinburgh International Festival in 1972. The show has been translated into a film, toured extensively and sparked a reality television series to find the next Joseph for the stage, all the while clocking up myriad awards. Not many people would fail to recognise the show’s most famous songs, such as “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door to Me”.

The production promises an entirely new creative team, to be announced soon. Casting for the role of Joseph will also be announced at a later date.

When it’s revealed Judy doesn’t have any work experience, the others take her under their wing and give her a few tips about surviving in an office environment. The show will star Louise Redknapp, Natalie McQueen, Amber Davies and Brian Conley.

Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as “The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie” and “Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.” When a baking contest in a nearby county — and a satisfying run-in with someone new — show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.
